Although the FCA does not ordinarily recommend prepaying for for funeral goods and services, we did work very hard with the legislature to pass a balanced law that provides significant consumer protections.

One of the provisions of this law is a requirement for the Texas Department of Banking to create and maintain a website that will educate and inform consumers about prepaid funeral contracts.  This website is now live, and can be reached here: http://www.prepaidfunerals.state.tx.us/
